Tesla Cybertruck Will Now Cost More Than Initially Announced

Tesla-Cybertruck-Will-Now-Cost-More-Than-Initially-Announced

The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, had news about the Tesla Cybertruck at their annual shareholder meeting. The all-electric truck was first announced in 2019, and production was to begin in late 2021. However, due to several factors, production is projected to start in late 2022.

Factors Affecting The Production Of The Tesla CyberTruck

Tesla was not spared amidst the post covid-19 challenges that hit the automobile industry. It will be recalled that several companies halted production due to semiconductor chip shortage. For those who were not affected by the chip shortage, port congestion was a hindrance in getting the vehicles across.

In the case of Tesla, initial delays in the production of the Tesla Cybertruck resulted from supply chain disruptions. Tesla could not produce enough 4680 battery cells for the cybertruck. Additionally, the steel frame of the truck requires the production of a brand new casting machine.

Amidst all of this, Tesla has been open to the public about its priorities. According to the company, production of the Tesla Cybertruck wouldn’t begin until they commenced production of the new Model Y.

Despite the production delays, orders for the Tesla Cybertruck have been rolling in. According to Elon Musk, the orders are many, and it might take three years to sort through them.

The projected release date for the tesla cybertruck is not yet known. However, Elon Musk did mention that Tesla desires to complete the development of the vehicle before the end of 2022. If they can meet up with the timeline, production will begin in 2023.

Design And Specifications Of The Tesla Cybertruck

If you’re a car lover who desires to have a vehicle that makes a statement, the Tesla Cybertruck is your best companion. Although there would be changes in the specifications of the vehicle, its current distinct look cannot be ignored. According to Elon Musk, Tesla Cybertruck will be coming with two side mirrors. Although, these mirrors are designed in a way that makes them easy to remove.

The frontal windshield of the Tesla Cybertruck is adorned with a huge wiper. However, the wiper has only one blade. Considering the windscreen size, Tesla’s decision to use a single blade for the testing phase is quite unclear. Hopefully, this decision will be reconsidered before the Tesla Cybertruck hits the road.

Not much about the interior of the Tesla Cybertruck has been disclosed to the public. However, from earlier previews, Tesla seems to be sticking to the regular pattern of the interior of Tesla automobiles. The dash of the cybertruck is as simple and minimalist as other Tesla vehicles. However, it has a marble effect, unlike the traditional Tesla automobiles.

Latest Update About The Price Of The Tesla CyberTruck

When the truck was announced, the sale was to start at a base price of $39 990. Information on the Tesla website had it that the single-motor Cybertruck will be starting at $39,990. In contrast, the dual-motor was to start at $49 990.

On the flip side, The price of the quad-motor variant never appeared on the company website. However, the tri-motor cybertruck was to cost $69 990. Unfortunately, all these prices are now in the past tense.

During the stakeholders’ annual meeting, Elon Musk stated that there would be a change in the price of the Tesla cybertruck. He termed this development as “a little bit of bad news.” However, he did not make any projections as to what the new prices would be.
